Client Services Officer

Location: La Jolla, CA
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 annually

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Client Services Officer to provide advanced administrative, operational, and client support to our Relationship Management team. This position plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the regional office and contributes to delivering exceptional service to commercial banking clients. The ideal candidate will have prior banking experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Administrative and Operational Support

• Assist with the daily operations of the regional office to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform advanced administrative duties, including word processing, filing, and maintaining organized records.
• Monitor and order office supplies as needed.
• Support general office management activities while adhering to established policies and procedures.
• Compile, analyze, and prepare reports related to account holders and account information.

Client and Relationship Management Support

• Provide administrative support to Relationship Managers, including preparing correspondence, processing financial requests, and providing status updates.
• Assist clients with opening appropriate account types and obtaining required documentation.
• Review account and legal documentation to ensure completeness and protect bank assets.
• Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and assist with issue resolution to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Ensure all activities comply with commercial banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality Control, BSA, and other internal departments as necessary to address questions and resolve issues.
• Remain informed of regulatory changes and industry developments that may impact corporate banking operations.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and improve existing processes.
• Recommend and support the implementation of new methods and procedures that contribute to departmental effectiveness and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of banking experience required, preferably within commercial banking or client services.
• Experience reviewing business formation documents and assisting with business account openings is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
