Director, Relationship Management - Clinical Operations, Hybrid

Responsible for managing external vendor(s)/partner(s) that provide resources and services critical to Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO) and Global Clinical Development (GCD) objectives and deliverables. The incumbent should possess strong business acumen, excellent change management and leadership skills. Responsibilities Provide portfolio oversight of vendor partner(s) and serve as the primary point of contact with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Manage supplier portfolio and handle issue escalations and resolution with internal and external stakeholders. Plan, coordinate and execute operational and executive meetings for strategic partnerships; ensure timely follow‑up of action items. Establish supplier KPIs and SLAs to enable effective portfolio management. Proactively monitor and manage key performance metrics across the assigned portfolio; identify and resolve issues in a timely manner. Anticipate future internal stakeholder needs and collaborate with vendors to develop new capabilities and services. Evalue and advise clinical teams on adding new suppliers; translate business needs into RFP specifications. Collaborate with Research & Development Procurement to identify external vendors who can deliver required services/resources for studies across the clinical development portfolio. Anticipate internal/external business challenges and implement process improvements. Plan and lead transition activities related to managing an existing supplier into the company’s systems (e.g., joint ventures or acquisitions). Mentor junior and new team members; may have direct management responsibility. Qualifications 10+ years of clinical trial experience. Proven partner/supplier management experience. Excellent collaboration, communication, interpersonal and conflict‑resolution skills. Strong independent decision making and critical thinking. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Technical or Life Sciences. Preferred: leadership experience, ability to create and lead high‑performance teams or matrix organizations. Preferred: expertise in KPI development, supplier relationship management, and portfolio management. Required skills: clinical decision making, clinical development, clinical trial management, project management, resource management, and supplier relationship management.
