High School Art Teacher 26/27 School Year

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire, motivate, and educate students in visual arts, fostering a love for creativity and self‑expression. The Art Teacher will develop and implement engaging lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles, promote artistic skills, and encourage exploration of various art forms and techniques. Responsibilities Teach a variety of art techniques and concepts using various mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Develop assessments and monitor student performance through tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations. Organize and facilitate student art exhibits, showcasing their work to the school community. Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives. Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the institution’s mission. Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students. Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and staff. Adhere to regular and predictable attendance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Education, or a related field. Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan with an endorsement in the subject. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing activities. Strong knowledge of art techniques, materials, and history. A passion for arts education and a commitment to fostering creativity in learners. Company Benefits 2% 401(k) company contribution.
