- Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing customized care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently based on credentialing
- Educating patients and their families on preventive measures, health maintenance, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing medications and treatments within the guidelines of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care oversight
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and seamless patient care
- Keeping accurate and detailed documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Utah
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a specialty equivalent
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Exceptional clinical judgment coupled with a caring approach
- Strong communication abilities with patients, their families, and healthcare teams
- Flexibility in dynamic and patient-focused settings
- Familiarity with EMR systems and ease with telehealth technology
- A team-oriented perspective and dedication to evidence-based practice
