About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) for Administration. The CCO will be responsible for the development and evaluation of healthcare compliance controls and programs, with a focus on compliance in the areas of healthcare delivery and research. This includes providing oversight for hospitals, clinics, and clinical affiliates, as well as ensuring compliance with applicable legal rules, regulations, and policies. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in an executive leadership role in an inpatient healthcare setting, a minimum of 10 years of progressive management responsibility, and extensive corporate compliance experience in healthcare. Expertise in federal and state healthcare services regulations, including Medicare, Medi-Cal, HIPAA, and state privacy rules, is essential. Applicants for the CCO position at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and be certified in Health Care Compliance or be willing to obtain certification within 6 months of hire. The role requires strong planning, financial, and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills. The CCO will be expected to work across multidisciplinary teams, influence the development and implementation of programs to improve organizational performance, and maintain effective working relationships across the health system. Familiarity with academic medicine models and community models of healthcare delivery is also a key requirement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a similar role and the ability to adapt compliance and privacy efforts to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare and research environments.
