Warehouse Production Associate

Warehouse Production WorkerExecute goals and objectives set by the Production Supervisor and/or Manager to ensure an effective and efficient work environment. Provide support to the light-industrial production area which will require manually moving, stacking, unstacking, reconfiguring or combining and otherwise manipulating packages to prepare them for transport or storage within the warehouse. Effectively process relevant written and verbal communication to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and correctly. Effectively carry on work assignments as directed. Actively engage in production-related and food safety programs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.Comply with the Company's attendance/tardiness standardsComply with company safety and operational processes and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, compliance with equipment inspection requirements, company policies on the safe operation of conveyor-belt enabled machinery, company policies on the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), etc.Comply with all other company policies and expected standards of behaviorActively engage in food-safety compliance programs. This includes monitoring for and reporting any potential threats to food-safetySpend extended periods of time, manually stacking and unstacking or reconfiguring cases of product from one pallet or case to another in order to build pallets or cases of varying configurationsInsert cases of product into packaging appropriate for shipment from the warehouseAccurately picking and sorting cases of product from available inventory for the fulfillment of customer ordersUse radio-frequency (RF) scanners to accurately track and move inventory throughout the warehouse and prepare the inventory for shipmentCoordinate with warehouse operations personnel to retrieve inventory from areas of the warehouse where specialized material handling equipment is requiredAssess pallets and cases of product and notify supervisor(s) of damageWork on a variety of shifts to include evening, weekend, and overtime shifts as requiredAssist with the training of newly hired personnelParticipate daily with general housekeeping of the production areas of the warehouseSupervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Qualifications: In order to perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with different abilities to perform the essential functions.Preferred Education and/or Experience:Knowledge of RF-based warehouse technologies and operating RF equipmentMinimum of three (3) to six (6) months of prior warehouse experienceHigh-School Diploma or GEDSimilar combinations of experience and/or education will be considered.Language Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and process information in verbal or written format and effectively respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, employees, customers and the general public. This includes the ability to read and fully comprehend policy and procedural documents, instructional materials, and shipment-related information and documents.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages as well as draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to correctly read, interpret and process lengthy strings of individual digits in their correct order.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
