Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Cashier-Clerk to support daily operations within a high-volume towing office. This role processes cash, check, and credit card transactions, assists customers and law enforcement personnel with vehicle-release procedures, and ensures accuracy in documentation and payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and able to handle challenging customer interactions while maintaining excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer high volumes of incoming calls related to towing services and police impounds.
• Assist customers and law enforcement representatives with questions regarding vehicle releases and towing regulations.
• Process impound releases for customers, including those who may be upset or distressed.
• Verify and collect the necessary identification and paperwork required for vehicle release.
• Handle cash and credit/debit transactions; deposit receipts into the safe daily.
• Complete impound paperwork, perform data entry, and ensure legal and procedural compliance.
• Prepare daily balance "drop" forms and maintain accurate financial records.
• Respond to internal and external tow operator inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Cash-handling experience preferred but not required.
• Basic computer knowledge; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license or state ID; must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Regular use of hands and fingers for clerical tasks and computer operation.

Work Environment:

• Office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Moderate noise level.
