Maine Veterans' Homes is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Food Service Worker to join our dining services team. We proudly provide short-term, long-term, and rehabilitative care to Veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star Parents.
If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want to make a meaningful difference every day, we’d love to meet you.
Schedule:
40 hours per week, 11:00am to 7:30pm
Includes every other weekend
What You’ll Do- Assist with meal preparation and food service
- Set up and serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained
- Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas
- Provide courteous and respectful service to residents and guests
- Work collaboratively with the dietary and clinical teams

Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior food service experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable and dependable attendance
- Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs and inquiries in English is required.
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
- Basic computer skills
