A one-of-a-kind community & the gateway to cranberry country The Location Tomah, WI Tomah is a community located within Monroe County in central Wisconsin where interstates 90/94 divide. With this unique location Tomah has embraced the motto " Where the I divides " as well as " The Gateway to Cranberry Country ". Due to Tomah's location, midway between Milwaukee and Minneapolis and where the state's interstate system divides, it provides for a prosperous industrial development environment. Distribution facilities, local and statewide trucking firms enjoy the advantages Tomah has to offer. From Lake Tomah to Recreation Park, visitors and residents enjoy many recreational opportunities. Tomah is also located between Fort McCoy and Volk Field and is fortunate to have the Tomah VA Medical Center in the community. Tomah residents also have the opportunity to obtain quality healthcare services Mayo clinic as well as the newly built Tomah Health hospital. The Tomah School District offers students a quality, well-rounded education and geographically is among the largest in the State of Wisconsin. Governed by an elected Mayor and Common Council, a full-time City Administrator supervises the daily municipal services offered to residents. We are fortunate to have the Tomah Area Ambulance Service, Fire Department and Police Department services available to residents. Tomah is proud to host the National Tractor Pullers Association's (NTPA) "Budweiser Wisconsin Dairyland NTPA Super Nationals " each June in Tomah's Recreation Park. Tomah's Recreation Park is also home to the Monroe County Fair and many other local events. We help Warrens celebrate the yearly Cranberry Festival each September. Veterans Street, Tomah, WI 54660 Essential Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Provide support to the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service.
• Performs assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
• Performs a full range of automated and non-automated laboratory procedures in the areas of chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, serology, bacteriology, and immunohematology according to established protocols.
• Evaluates the suitability of the specimen for analysis, requesting new specimen if determined to unusable. Prepares specimens for analysis; ensuring that the physiologic states of the specimen properties are maintained.
• Selects, performs, evaluates and monitors the performance of test procedures using manual and/or instrumental techniques in accordance with established protocols.
• Recognizes and reacts to indicators of malfunction; locates and implements corrections.
• Conducts quality control procedures on equipment, reagents, and products and maintains proper records for quality control reports.
• Calibrates, standardizes, adjusts and maintains instruments on which trained. Verifies correct instrument operation using established procedures and quality control checks and monitoring. Identifies the cause of common problems and makes simple repairs.
• Evaluates the validity of data in relation to the test system and accepted assay procedures; correlates quantitative data with patient data (i.e., history, medications) to verify results.
• Performs additional tests to clarify or confirm abnormal patient results. Recognizes abnormal results that require immediate attention by the physician and reports them directly.
• Responsible for the generation of laboratory results from the work area into the laboratory computer system.
• Edits and verifies results recorded into the computer system.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Clinical Laboratory Science
• Graduate from a medical technology program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS)
• Current American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification
• Minimum one-year experience as a MT within the past 5 years
• BLS certified

The estimated period of performance shall be from August 1, 2021 through July 31, 2022, with two three-month options. 40 hours per week M-F (8 hours per day)
