We're partnered with an $800M general contractor based in downtown Chicago that is looking to add a Project Executive to its leadership team.

This is a senior delivery role overseeing major projects across interiors, multifamily, light industrial, commercial, retail, restaurants, entertainment and sports work.

The company has a strong Chicago presence, a deep repeat client base and a project portfolio that gives someone the chance to stay local while working across a really diverse mix of high profile work.

What you’ll be doing

• Overseeing multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Leading Project Managers, Superintendents and project teams
• Acting as the senior point of contact for owners, architects, consultants and subcontractors
• Managing budgets, schedules, contracts, change orders and client expectations
• Partnering closely with preconstruction on pursuits, budgets and project strategy
• Supporting team development, hiring, mentoring and performance management
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably and to a high standard
• Building long term client relationships and helping drive repeat business

Ideal background

• Experience working for a general contractor or design build firm
• Strong background managing complex commercial construction projects
• Experience across interiors, multifamily, light industrial, retail, restaurant, entertainment or sports projects would be valuable
• Proven ability to lead multiple teams and client relationships
• Strong commercial, financial and operational understanding
• Comfortable operating in a senior, visible, client facing role
