Fleet & Irrigation Mechanic

Scott Petroleum is looking for a hardworking, responsible individual to join our team as a Fleet & Irrigation Mechanic. This position provides a variety of routine support activities on the job site.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

• Perform PM on propane powered irrigation motors and trucks.
• Assess, diagnose, and repair propane powered motors and trucks
• Commit to safe work practices and demonstrate the ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Accurately complete work orders, and other paperwork as required.
• Courteously work with supervisors, fellow employees, and customers
• Operate Equipment on location.
• Safely use wrenches, hammers and other hand tools needed to maintain equipment.
• Assist with other services or roadside when needed.

Qualifications / Position Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• Experience in an industrial environment or oil field
• Mechanically inclined
• Basic computer skills
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to work a rotating shift
• Able to communicate effectively with others
• Must exhibit independent thinking and be highly resourceful and capable of solving problems with little supervision
• Must be punctual, disciplined, and talented at time management

Physical Requirements:

• Must pass a pre-employment physical, reference checks, drug screen, motor-vehicle report and criminal background check
• Ability to routinely lift 50 100 pounds
• Ability to safely climb ladders and walk on top of truck tanks
• Able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions: extreme wind, snow, rain, heat and cold
