Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.Responsibilities:Full-Stack Development (Primary Focus):Develop full-stack web applications to support design engineering, manufacturing, and productionCreate modern front-end applications using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Material UI)Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.jsDesign and implement efficient, scalable application architecturesData Pipeline Development (Secondary Focus):Ingest data from source systems using REST, GraphQL, SQL, and streaming platformsBuild batch and streaming data transformation pipelinesDesign and implement database schemas (relational and NoSQL)Store and serve data through APIs, OLTP databases, and data lakesTechnical Leadership:Own multiple systems and projects of significant technical depth, driving design, delivery, and planning of improvementsDefine technical roadmaps for owned systemsProactively identify cross-system improvements and lead their implementationMentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and pair programmingIdentify opportunities for improved algorithms, data structures, and system designInterface with internal customers to assess requirements and deliver solutionsOperations:Maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployments (GitLab, Kubernetes/EKS)Participate in on-call rotation to support production applicationsCreate and maintain project plans using JiraAttend daily standups and contribute to team planningLocation: Onsite in Seattle, WA or Huntsville, ALRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience10+ years of professional software engineering experience including:Building production web applications with React & TypeScriptCreating REST APIs with Node.jsDesigning normalized database schemas and writing SQL queriesDeploying applications to cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)Implementing appropriate data structures & algorithmsLeading projects and mentoring engineersBuilding data transformation pipelinesDesired Qualifications:Front-End:Experience with Next.js, D3, server-side rendering, and responsive designData Engineering:Batch processing (Spark)Streaming event-driven services (Kafka, Flink)Data lake technologies (Delta Lake or Iceberg)NoSQL databasesData Modeling (Data Vault, Medallion)Infrastructure & DevOps:Kubernetes deployments (EKS)AWS services (RDS, EKS, S3, CloudWatch, ECS, MSK, Glue)CI/CD pipeline developmentInfrastructure as Code (Terraform)Backend:Java and Spring Boot developmentDomain Knowledge:Manufacturing, operations, logistics, or aerospace engineering domainsCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $197,529.00 - $276,539.55Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
