About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 24 months of current operating room experience required License: Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: AHA/Active American Heart Association or ARC/AMERICAN RED CROSS BLS required Must-Have: - 24 months of current operating room experience required - Experience as a circulating nurse in the operating room required - Scrub experience highly preferred - Experience in General, Davinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases required - Additional experience in Client, Orthopedics (primarily trauma), Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, ENT, and Vascular highly preferred - Experience using EPIC electronic medical systems within the previous 3 years required - Trauma Level I experience highly preferred - Trauma Level II experience required - No first-time travelers; must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 9 months required Description: Quickly interviewing viable candidates. Local radius rule: 50 miles. Holiday rotation; required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays unless the unit is closed. Call schedule includes one overnight per week and three weekends per 13-week contract. Patient types and ratios in the operating room will meet submission requirements. Expectations include an average caseload of 35-50 cases per day. The typical turnover time is less than 20 minutes. Special equipment includes 3 DaVinci robots and Stealth technology for neuro navigation. The service lines include Cardiac, Client, Orthopedic trauma, Robotics, Gynecology, Urology, General, Pediatrics, and Transplants. Travelers may be required to float across multiple campuses. All requirements regarding work history, skills checklist, professional references, and driver’s license verification must be met for consideration.
