Per Diem- Clinical Assistant, Infusion and Day Treatment (IDT) Program

Overview Department Summary The Infusion and Day Treatment (IDT) Program at Boston Children’s Hospital has two locations, on the main campus in Boston and at Boston Children’s Waltham. The program is a unique ambulatory program for patients and an alternative to inpatient admission for patients requiring infusion therapies and novel medical day treatments. The program offers these patients, who range in age from infancy to adulthood, a place to receive treatment in a family-centered environment that offers consistent and ongoing relationships with a healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Being under regular supervision and following established procedures and instructions, providing basic direct care to patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse. Assisting Registered Nurse during procedures, obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of unit. Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed. Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse. Per Diem; a combination of 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts rotating days/evenings and weekends. Education Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience 1 year CA experience or CNA/MA/PCT/EMT certification. Pediatric experience preferred. Good communication and computer skills; ability to work on a team. Compensation and Benefits The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
