Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Plano, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7A - 7P

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population experiencing various medical emergencies. The role requires a proactive, easy-going attitude and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Providing emergency care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
• Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit secretaries.
• Assessing patient acuity and prioritizing care based on clinical needs.
• Performing essential procedures and utilizing standard emergency/trauma equipment.
• Documenting patient information and care procedures through the EMR system - Meditech.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current Texas RN licensure or compact license eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Triage and Navigation Certification Courses such as TNCC, SAMA, or CPI.
