The Wilson County Health Department is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team and serve students in our newest Wilson Area School Health Centers (WASH). This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in a school-based setting while playing a vital role in improving the health of Wilson County's youth.

Position Highlights:
- Serve as a healthcare provider within our new school-based health clinics in Wilson County. Primarily Darden Middle & Elm City Middle School.
- Provide primary and preventive care services to school-aged children, including health assessments, sick visits, chronic disease management, and health education.
- Work closely with school staff, parents, and the Wilson County Health Department to ensure coordinated care.
- Promote wellness and support students' academic success by addressing health concerns in a timely and effective manner.
What We're Looking For:
- A passionate and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) with a heart for pediatric and adolescent healthcare.
- A current North Carolina license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Experience in pediatrics, family medicine, or school-based health (preferred but not required).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and school staff.

Important Note: This position will be hired as a CONTRACT POSITION, working 1-2 days a week (extended hours may be possible). This position will not be eligible for Wilson County benefits.
