Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and partnering with operations to drive business performance. What You'll Do

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  
  
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
  
  
• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances across manufacturing, inventory, and operational accounts.
  
  
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
  
  
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements, management reporting packages, and key performance metrics.
  
  
• Support inventory accounting, cycle count reconciliations, and manufacturing cost analysis.
  
  
• Partner with operations and production teams to monitor inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing expenses.
  
  
• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking.
  
  
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  
  
• Support external audits and provide documentation for audit requests.
  
  
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
  
  
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  
  
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  
  
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  
  
• Experience supporting month-end close and preparing financial statements.
  
  
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing accounting concepts preferred.
  
  
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
  
  
• Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  
  
• Ability to communicate effectively across accounting, operations, and leadership teams.
