Associate Attorney for Corporate and Securities

An established firm with over 100 years in practice and a top-ranked Corporate and M&A practice is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join their Corporate and Securities practice group in either Chicago, IL or Nashville, TN. This Attorney will work on sophisticated merger and acquisition transactions for private equity firms, private companies, and public companies, with additional exposure to SEC reporting, capital markets, and corporate governance matters.

Salary range: $260,000-$435,000 for the Chicago office, contingent on experience. Salary for the Nashville office to be confirmed. Healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, available to benefits-eligible employees and dependents.

Holds a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Maintains active bar admission in a U.S. jurisdiction in good standing. Brings sophisticated corporate experience representing private equity firms, private companies, or public companies in merger and acquisition transactions. Carries experience with SEC reporting, capital markets, or corporate governance matters as a plus. Demonstrates excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Presents excellent academic credentials.

Represents clients in sophisticated merger and acquisition transactions. Advises private equity firms and their portfolio companies on deal execution. Supports public company clients on SEC reporting and capital markets matters. Counsels clients on corporate governance and shareholder matters. Collaborates with senior attorneys across the Corporate and Securities practice group.
