Travel Physical Therapist - $2,268 per week

Overview Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy seeks a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests and clinical examinations to determine functional limitations. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment and modalities while ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to stay current with best practices. Collaborate in discharge planning and perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia (or required state). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Any physical therapy experience (new graduates encouraged). Additional certifications or licenses relevant to the position. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. English reading, writing, and verbal communication competence. PC proficiency and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical abilities: must remain stationary, move, lift 50–100 lbs, push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal skills: ability to work with diverse personnel positively. Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, push/pull while assisting procedures. Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines, work under supervision as needed, manage irregular activity schedules and concentrate on detail.
