Assistant Superintendent

Overview Ironmark Building Co. is looking for an Assistant Superintendent to join our team in the Greater Phoenix area! Ironmark is an award-winning commercial general contractor based in Minneapolis, specializing in multi-family, mixed-use and hospitality projects. What You’ll Do Assist in the day-to-day management of overall commercial construction project operations, people and processes Apply vigilant cost containment, quality control and risk management skills to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of assigned projects Create a safe work environment by ensuring full compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA and Ironmark’s Safety Program Ensure adherence to the schedule, expediting subcontractors and suppliers as required Supervise on-site construction activities in conjunction with the Project Superintendent Develop schedules and coordinate trades Complete and oversee maintenance of all daily work documentation and other required paperwork Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, vendors and other stakeholders Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management preferred Ability to work on-site at our project location in the Tucson area Ability to understand local building codes, regulations and safety laws; OSHA 30 certified preferred Ability to read and understand blueprints Strong communication skills and experience working with diverse teams Proficient with Microsoft Office, smartphones and tablets, cloud-based storage, email and attachments Passionate about managing commercial construction projects and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Effective at working under pressure and managing tasks and priorities Proactive problem-solving, collaboration with architects, engineers and PMs Sharp continuous-improvement mindset and drive to succeed Valid driver’s license and safe driving record, reliable access to a vehicle Benefits Ironmark provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package including medical (two plans and network options), dental, vision, an HSA plan with employer contribution, company-paid life and disability insurance, 401(k) plus company match, paid holidays and PTO.
