Medical Laboratory Scientist II (Evening Shift) | Hematology & Urinalysis Location: Dallas, TX Assignment: 13-week contract (Temp with possible perm) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM (40 hours/week) Interview Process: 2 rounds (Virtual + Onsite) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist II to perform and monitor a full range of laboratory testing and analysis, with a primary focus on Hematology and Urinalysis . This role includes quality control, troubleshooting, and routine instrument maintenance with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing in accordance with department procedures and regulatory requirements Follow quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards Conduct instrument maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and basic problem resolution Accurately document and report test results in a timely manner Maintain appropriate inventory of lab supplies and support overall lab readiness Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and cross-functional teams Participate in department projects, education, and continuous improvement initiatives Demonstrate and educate laboratory principles and technical skills to others as needed Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent laboratory experience (MLS/MT level preferred) Certification: ASCP preferred ; AMT acceptable Strong understanding of lab regulations, protocols, and quality systems Solid analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team Computer proficiency and ability to document accurately in lab systems Preferred Skills Epic experience strongly preferred Sysmex experience preferred (instrument familiarity and troubleshooting a plus) Why This Role Opportunity to transition to permanent employment based on performance and business need Work in a setting that values quality, accuracy, and teamwork Equal Opportunity Employer.
