Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician IIIUS Synthetic has an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician III located in Orem, UT. The Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing advanced repairs on equipment, focusing on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems. This role includes conducting preventative maintenance to maximize machine uptime and contributing to continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.What's in it For You:The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growthThe support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our bestThrive in a company that values sustainability, drives a safety-focused culture, and empowers its employees through continuous improvementComprehensive benefits package starting at day 1 of employment – medical, dental, vision, matching 401k, and more!What You Will Do:Perform preventative maintenance on a large variety of machines and equipmentAdvanced troubleshooting with machine issues on down-calls and repair equipment per machine schematics whether mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic machines and pressesRespond to work orders to improve production capacity or flow and minimize wastePerform machine moves for existing and new machines depending on demandDesign and perform upgrades on machines with teamsTrain others to maintenance responsibilities as needed; direct and train production employees in Total Production Maintenance (TMP) effortsFollow LOTO procedures and use a multimeter in troubleshooting and diagnosing problemsFollow all company policies (Attendance, No Tobacco Products on Campus, Illegal Drug & Alcohol, Family Medical Leave Act, Personal Appearance, Personal Electronic Devices, Vacation & Personal Time, etc.)Minimum Qualifications:Completion of higher education degree or certificate(s) in Maintenance related fields i.e. AET, Automation Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, etc. and/or 15 + years of experience in mechanical and electrical repair of industrial machinesHigh school diploma / GED is requiredValid Driver's LicenseImmigration sponsorship not available for this roleUnderstand mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics and utilize when performing maintenance repairsWilling to comply with safety regulations and maintain clean orderly work area (5S)Physical Demands :Lift up to 50 lbs.Climb and work from ladders, platforms and machineryFull range of body motion, i.e. lifting, kneeling, squatting and twistingUse of Safety Equipment (Safety glasses, Steel-toed shoes, Hearing protection, occasionally wear a respirator)Preferred Qualifications:Strong troubleshooting skills, including the application of the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) method, with the ability to think critically and assess cause-and-effect relationships during down-calls.Advanced root cause analysisMechanical and electrical control and motor experienceAbility to organize priorities and manage multiple tasks at onceGreat interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of three phase and single-phase power systemsBasic computer and math skillsClear and concise writing skillsDetail orientedCapable of certifying operating overhead crane, fork truck and scissor liftIndependent worker, self-motivated and works well with little supervisionAbility to complete projects with accurate documentation and repairsTeam playerMachinist trainingAssociates of Applied Science in Machine Controls or Robotics
