Role Description

• Location: On-site
• Type: Full-Time or Contract to hire
• Compensation: $80,000 – $120,000

About the Role

We're looking for someone who thinks like a product engineer and works like a craftsman — someone who sees a production line and immediately starts asking how to make it faster, cleaner, and better without cutting a single corner.

This role is about ownership. You'll be the person driving how our products get built — from raw material to finished structure. You'll spot inefficiencies before they become problems, push the quality bar higher than anyone asks you to, and treat every shed, sauna, ADU, and home that leaves this facility as a reflection of your standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the production floor — layout, workflow, sequencing, and daily output. If it's inefficient, fix it.
• Drive continuous improvement across the production line: cut time, reduce waste, increase throughput — without sacrificing quality.
• Research and implement innovative materials, tools, and construction methods that elevate our product.
• Maintain and enforce quality standards at every stage of production. Every unit that ships reflects this team.
• Identify bottlenecks before they compound and build systems that prevent them from coming back.
• Manage inventory and materials supply chain — right materials, right quantities, right time.
• Train and lead production team members by example. Accountability starts with you.
• Collaborate with design and sales teams to ensure what's designed is what gets built — accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience in wood construction, prefab production, or a closely related field. You've built things, not just managed people who build things.
• You think in systems. You look at a workflow and see steps that can be eliminated, automated, or reordered.
• High ownership mentality. You don't wait for problems to be assigned to you — you find them and solve them.
• Strong communicator with the ability to lead a team without relying on title or authority.
• Comfortable being measured on output, quality metrics, and production efficiency.

Preferred Experience

• Background in prefab, modular, or panelized wood construction.
• Experience introducing new tools, materials, or production methods that delivered measurable results.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or process optimization frameworks.
• Hands-on knowledge of CNC equipment, power tools, and production machinery.
• Prior experience building or scaling a production team from the ground up.
