As a Specimen Collector, you'll play an important role in supporting patient care by ensuring accurate specimen collection while treating every patient with dignity, professionalism, and respect.At Morse Clinics, we provide compassionate, evidence-based treatment for individuals affected by opioid use disorder. Our mission is to help people rebuild their lives through medication-assisted treatment, counseling, and recovery support.What You'll DoCollect urine specimens using established chain-of-custody procedures.Perform blood draws in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.Verify patient identity and maintain accurate documentation.Label, seal, and prepare specimens for laboratory transport.Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant collection area.Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.Recognize and report specimen irregularities or suspected tampering.Assist with front desk responsibilities, including patient check-in, scheduling, answering phones, and other administrative duties as needed.Communicate effectively with providers and team members in person, through Google Chat, and via email to ensure efficient clinic operations.Send patient appointment confirmations and assist with appointment-related communications.Support daily clinic operations through basic clerical and administrative tasks.Follow all safety, compliance, and emergency procedures.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Previous healthcare, laboratory, specimen collection, or phlebotomy experience preferred.Experience performing venipuncture/blood draws is preferred.Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to remain calm, professional, and respectful in sensitive situations.Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Methasoft is preferred.Must be at least 21 years of age.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods.Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.Ability to safely handle biohazard materials.Why Morse Clinics?At Morse Clinics, you'll become part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to helping individuals achieve recovery while working alongside a supportive and compassionate team.
