Dental Assistant

We are growing and looking to add a Dental Assistant to our team! Be a part of something special! At Where Smiles Grow Pediatric Dentistry, we pride ourselves on providing excellent dental care in a welcoming and child-friendly environment. Our Dentists and Team are dedicated to helping our patient families maintain optimal oral health. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a dental assistant. Whether you are just starting in the field or have some experience, we are committed to training the right person to become a member of our team. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize dental treatment rooms and instruments prior to patient appointments.
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Perform sterilization and disinfection of dental tools and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care with empathy and clear communication.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials, ensuring availability for daily operations.
- Adhere to body motion and ergonomics best practices to maintain personal health and safety during clinical tasks.
- Willingness to learn and grow in the dental field
- No prior experience required; training provided for the right person
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team orientated environment
- Willingness to learn and grow in the dental field
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 5:15PM
- No Evening, No Holidays, No Weekends

- Primary Location: Latham
- Ability to commute to Delmar and Schodack offices on an as needed basis preferred
