Quality Control Technician

Quality TechnicianHamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a quality technician position at a manufacturing company in Bethel, CT. This is a temp-to-hire position. The hours are 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $20-$30 an hour, based on experience.Job Responsibilities:Perform quality control inspection on raw materials and in-process/finished partsMaintain department and all inspection recordsCollect samples per appropriate AQLConduct visual and mechanical tests on component partsProvide technical assistance to production personnel as requiredMaintain calibration program as required for all gages, pins, fixtures and associated toolsResponsible for first piece sign off documents, in-process quality documents and finished product inspections and documentationRecords tests resultsProvide feedback to supervisor, set-up personnel and operators and department managersMake recommendations for resolving quality issuesOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:A minimum of 3-5 years work experience in quality control or inspection in a metal machining environmentDexterity and preciseness required to operate gauges and testing equipmentProven experience and ability to use basic QA measuring equipment and measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, hardness testing and shadow graphsSound math skillsSolid knowledge of metals and metal workingPrior machining experience a plusGood communication skills, both written and verbalAble to maintain high degree of mental focus and strict attention to detailMust read, write, and speak English and know how to read engineering drawingsAble to pass pre-employment screenings Hamilton Connection
