Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Medical Surgical RN Opportunity

Seeking a skilled Medical Surgical RN to provide inpatient care on a med/surg unit. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient care and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient treatments and medications accurately according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess patient conditions regularly.
• Document patient care activities and clinical observations in the electronic medical record.
• Perform IV starts and manage IV therapy as needed.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and notify appropriate staff.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including BLS and ACLS certification standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess current RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Hold BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA approved).
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of recent adult med/surg nursing experience.
• Be proficient in IV starts and patient assessments.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Travel experience and familiarity with MEDITECH EMR preferred.
