Respiratory Therapist - Contract Position

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, weekends rotate.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting. This position requires the practitioner to deliver high-level patient care, including respiratory assessments, therapeutic treatments, and the management of mechanical ventilation.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medication.
• Manage ventilator settings and monitor patient responses.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to ensure optimal patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience in adult respiratory care required.
• Preferred: ICU, NICU, or PICU experience.
