Physical Therapist / Shift-Based / UKHC The Physical Therapist will provide direct patient care and assist the supervisor and senior leaders in program development while adhering to policies and procedures of the University of Kentucky HealthCare Enterprise and in compliance with state and federal regulations. This position performs physical therapy evaluations and renders treatments following a physician’s order, treats patients with a variety of diagnoses, and documents appropriately in the medical record. Physical Requirements This position requires regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods; performing tasks with repetitive motions such as typing; and exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials, blood‑borne or airborne pathogens, and combative or violent individuals. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Excellent communication and computer skills; ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Education and Experience One to two years of experience in hospital‑based acute care is preferred.
