Senior Accountant

Kforce has a client in Farmington, CT that is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role will help ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and support budgeting, forecasting, and audit initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Assist with tax compliance and audit requests
• Maintain internal controls and improve accounting processes
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• CPA or CPA candidate
• Public accounting experience
• Budgeting and forecasting experience
• Multi-entity accounting experience
