About the Position

Medix has partnered with a premier healthcare facility to find a dedicated Ultrasound Tech for a high-impact travel assignment in Manhattan. As a trusted healthcare clinician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging while delivering compassionate patient care. In this role, you will select equipment settings, position patients, and operate ultrasound transducers to capture high-quality abdominal and OB/GYN diagnostic images, accurately recording and archiving diagnostic data. Schedule Details Work Week: 4 10-hr shifts, M-F only 9a - 7p with rotating days off No weekends Shift Hours: 10 hours per shift (36 hours per week). Responsibilities • Select equipment and adjust controls according to exam specifications, target organ, depth of field, and patient needs. • Explain procedures to patients and assist with physical positioning for optimal ultrasonic pattern capture. • Operate transducer over targeted body areas to capture diagnostic sound wave displays. • Record diagnostic data on digital media and archive test results in ultrasound equipment computers. • Obtain permanent image records for physician evaluation.

Requirements

• ARDMS Ultrasound specialty training certification
• Active BLS certification
• Abdominal and OB/GYN ultrasound experience required
• Vascular experience (Preferred)
