About the Role:

HONEY HOLDING I LTD is looking for a dedicated Food Defense Technician to join our team in Baytown, TX! This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in protecting the purity, cleanliness and safety of our food ingredient supply chain. Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor food defense protocols to prevent intentional contamination or tampering
• Conduct routine security and sanitation inspections of food production and storage areas
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to food defense activities
• Identify and report potential vulnerabilities or threats within the facility
• Collaborate with quality assurance and safety teams to ensure compliance with food defense regulations
• Assist in developing and updating food defense plans in accordance with FSMA and FDA guidelines
• Train and educate staff on food defense and sanitation awareness and best practices

Requirements:

• Prior experience in food safety, food defense, or an agricultural technology role preferred
• Knowledge of FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and food defense regulations
• Familiarity with Software based surveillance and monitoring of operations 
• Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in an outdoor environment
• Strong communication skills for reporting findings and training personnel
• Recent college education or food safety certification a plus
