INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION SHOP/EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

An established and reputable industrial construction company with a great working environment and teamwork mentality is seeking a shop/equipment mechanic in Blair, Nebraska.  

JOB SUMMARY

Candidate must be able to work on a variety of industrial construction vehicles and equipment to diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment with precision and accuracy while maintaining an organized and safe work environment.  Candidate must perform high-quality work and uphold high standards of workmanship.

COMPENSATION

• $30.00 - $40.00+ per hour, based on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairing vehicles, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions promptly
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
• Clean, maintain, and organize equipment and work area on a consistent basis

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be qualified to work in the United States
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven knowledge of vehicle diagnosis and repair
• Strong mechanical skills
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in vehicle maintenance and repai
• Punctual attendance
• Strong time management
• Team player
• Self-motivated
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work with your hands and arms on a regular basis
