Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Part-Time | After-School | In-Clinic Jars of Play Speech Therapy — Prosper, TX About Jars of Play Jars of Play is a pediatric speech therapy practice in Prosper, Texas. Through individualized, compassionate therapy, we help clients build functional communication skills that reduce frustration, strengthen relationships, and give families tools they can use at home. We are hiring a part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant because our afternoon schedule is full and we have a waitlist of families ready to begin. Adding another clinician will allow us to reach those families sooner and provide the care they need without delay. The Essentials Position: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Employment Type: Part-time W-2 employee Pay: competive pay, based on experience Hours: 8–20 hours per week, with a guaranteed weekly minimum Schedule: Weekday afternoons, typically 3:00–7:00 PM Setting: In-clinic only—no home visits or driving between clients Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2026 Location: Prosper, TX—single clinic location The Role You will work under the direct supervision of our licensed SLP co-owners and provide one-on-one therapy to clients ranging in age from 2 years old through adulthood. Our caseload includes: Autism-related communication needs Gestalt language processing and Natural Language Acquisition Social-pragmatic language Augmentative and Alternative Communication Stuttering Articulation and phonological disorders Apraxia of speech Feeding therapy Receptive and expressive language disorders Executive functioning We serve English-speaking families as well as Korean- and Spanish-speaking families. Our SLP co-owners conduct all evaluations, write each plan of care, and match clients to clinicians based on their strengths and each family’s needs. You will implement those plans through direct therapy, allowing you to focus on treatment rather than assessments or building your own caseload. There is no productivity quota. Responsibilities Implement therapy according to plans of care written by your supervising SLP Track session data and complete daily SOAP notes in our EHR for SLP co-signature Submit all weekly documentation by Friday evening Share regular progress updates with families Support parent and caregiver carryover at home Coordinate attendance and makeup appointments Plan and prepare therapy activities and materials Set up and clean therapy rooms Disinfect equipment and materials between sessions Communicate openly with your supervising SLP regarding client progress, concerns, and treatment needs Qualifications Current Texas SLPA license through TDLR or eligibility to obtain a license before the start date Bachelor’s degree that meets Texas SLPA requirements Pediatric clinical experience preferred Ability to work effectively under the supervision and direction of a licensed SLP Willingness to follow plans of care as written and communicate openly with the supervising SLP Collaborative, family-centered approach to therapy Commitment to keeping families informed and supporting home carryover Ability to work independently and complete documentation by established deadlines Spanish and English fluency is a strong plus Compensation and Benefits Guaranteed minimum paid hours each week Structured supervision and mentorship from our SLP co-owners Professional liability insurance covered Texas SLPA license renewal covered Continuing education stipend Fully furnished, air-conditioned clinic Thgerapy equipment and materials provided On-site SLP co-owners who supervise directly and are available throughout scheduled sessions We do not currently offer medical insurance, retirement benefits, or paid time off at the part-time level.
