Warehouse Supervisor The Warehouse Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates all activities in the warehouse department to maximize productivity on assigned shifts and areas. The role involves planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing product and employee complaints, resolving problems, and ensuring safety and operational guidelines are met in accordance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable laws. Responsibilities Supervise all phases of warehouse operations, including schedules, product put‑away operations, inventory management, and product loss control. Coordinate timely and accurate receiving, and maintain safety, operational, and quality standards. Assign, direct, review and monitor the work of supervised staff to maximize productivity in the warehouse and shipping department. Establish and monitor employee work schedules to meet business needs. Support and lead Warehouse Coordinator activities and oversee SAP transactions to ensure transaction integrity. Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies using exception codes. Recommend improvements to reduce costs and drive productivity while achieving Sales to Service goals. Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems. Maintain time and shipping records and prepare reports for management review. Ensure warehouse work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. Supervise and coordinate product rework activities. Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities among individual departments. Provide supervision of assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities, ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action, and performance management. Participate in grievances, investigations, or other contract‑related activities if a collective bargaining agreement exists. Provide employee training and instruction, complete training documentation, and enforce policies related to employees. Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively apply Saputo values. Plan, evaluate, organize, integrate, and delegate tasks as required. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a minimum of 2 years plant experience in a warehouse setting. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety/Security Policies, and Sanitation and Quality Policies. Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a certification for Powered Industrial Trucks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer‑based applications; SAP experience is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs and to lead others through change. Strong organizational, prioritization, and attention to detail skills. Team player and leader capable of working across multiple functions and disciplines. Ability to coach, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees. Physical ability to walk, climb, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods in a manufacturing environment that may include wet, cold, hot, humid, chemical, and high‑noise conditions.
