Duties

Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to develop competitive pricing strategies while ensuring profitability.

Conduct thorough site visits to gather on-the-ground insights that influence cost assessments and project timelines.

Manage bid proposals from initial review through submission, ensuring all aspects of the project scope are accurately priced.

Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to optimize project costs.

Monitor ongoing projects for cost control, tracking expenses against estimates to identify variances early.

Assist in contract review and management, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards while aligning with project goals.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles.

Needs to be proficient in Xactimate and Symbility

Solid knowledge of construction site operations, safety protocols, and contract administration.

Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and clients.

Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for preparing comprehensive estimates and reports.

Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting proposals confidently.

Prior experience in cost control, pricing strategies, and project management within the construction industry is essential.
