Breast Pump Program Nurse Practitioner - West Region Licensed (VIRTUAL)VirtualPOSITION:The West Region Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for ensuring direct patient care is evidence-based and aligns with SimpliFed's maternal health program requirements. The provider will assess and sign breast pump prescriptions for SimpliFed patients.ROLE:The Clinical Provider (NP) will uphold the highest standards of care and will be required to assess and sign breast pump prescriptions for SimpliFed patients.VENUE:This role works full time remotely using SimpliFed approved devices.POSITION SUMMARY:The SimpliFed Clinical Provider (NP) will assess and sign breast pump prescriptions and may conduct professional services consultations with patients via telehealth.QUALIFICATIONS:Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical nurse practitioner fieldProfessional licensure in nursing, in good standing with the governing boardActive medical licensure in good standing with the relevant governing board(s) across the Southeast Region in the following U.S. states:AlaskaCaliforniaColoradoHawaiiIdahoMontanaNevadaOregonUtahWashingtonWyomingActive MMIS (State Medicaid) credentials in all states, preferredProfessional certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) or Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), preferred3 years of direct clinical experience in hospital, clinic, or other healthcare settingInterest in maternal health and improving outcomesAbility to work independently and make sound decisions aligned with SimpliFed's policiesStrong active listening skills and sound judgmentDemonstrated written and oral communication skills, and strong charting skillsKnowledge of clinical workflows, healthcare quality and compliance standards, EHR data management, clinical documentation, HIPAA, and related regulationsPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Communicate with patients via the company's electronic medical record system and virtual video platformReview patients' intake forms and complete breast pump prescriptionsProvide evidence-based counseling to empower patient health literacy and decision makingMaintain compliance with clinical protocols, licensure, and credentialing requirementsComply with SimpliFed's availability requirements and maintain high degree of communication with supervisorsPromote the values of respect, honesty, and dignity for patients, providers, and all members of the healthcare teamParticipate in background checks and ongoing compliance with federal security and privacy regulationsGENERAL EXPECTATIONS:Commit to the mission of SimpliFedExhibit excellent interpersonal skills when working with leadership, employees, external medical professionals, and patientsWork within scope of practice and comply with clinical protocolsMaintain professional conduct and uphold values of respect, honesty, and dignityEngage in continuous improvement of maternal health through empathy and compassionMaintain compliance with SimpliFed's policies and prevailing Federal security and privacy regulationsWORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is performed virtually.
