Assistant to the General Manager – Nursery and Greenhouse OperationsWe are looking for a versatile, hands-on professional to join our nursery and greenhouse operation as an Assistant to the General Manager. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working in both an office environment and an active horticultural/nursery setting.The right person will be comfortable handling administrative responsibilities while also being willing to roll up their sleeves and jump in to help with nursery operations when needed. This role is ideal for someone with a background in nursery operations, horticulture, agriculture, or plant production who also has strong organizational and office skills.You will work closely with the General Manager and have exposure to many areas of the business, making this a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow their career and take on increasing responsibility over time.Office & Administrative ResponsibilitiesAssist the General Manager with day-to-day administrative and operational needsSupport HR-related duties, employee records, onboarding, and other personnel functionsHandle invoicing, data entry, paperwork, and general office responsibilitiesAssist with scheduling, record keeping, reporting, and other administrative tasksCommunicate with employees, vendors, customers, and other business partnersHelp keep office processes organized and running efficientlyNursery & Operations SupportStep into the nursery and assist with operations as neededSupport plant production, inventory, organization, and general nursery activitiesWork alongside nursery employees and management to help keep operations movingAssist with projects, problem-solving, and operational needs as they ariseBe willing to work in hot, humid, and physically active conditions, particularly during busy periodsLearn and understand the day-to-day operations of the nurseryWhat We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is someone who can comfortably move between an office setting and the nursery floor.Previous experience in a nursery, horticulture, agriculture, greenhouse, landscaping, or related industry is highly preferredStrong administrative and organizational skillsComfortable with invoicing, paperwork, data entry, and general office functionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsComfortable working with employees and assisting with HR-related responsibilitiesProficient with computers and Microsoft Office or similar softwareSelf-motivated, dependable, and able to work independentlyWilling to jump in and help wherever neededComfortable working outdoors or in hot and humid nursery conditionsStrong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilitiesA team-oriented attitude and willingness to learnWhy This Role?This isn't a position where you'll be sitting behind a desk all day.
