About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC Must-Have: - 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting. - Teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback. - Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department. Description: This role involves working in a high-volume emergency department with a diverse patient population. The facility serves as the region's referral center for trauma and stroke care. The emergency department has a total of 101 beds with typical patient ratios of 4:1. On occasion, the ratios may increase to 7:1 for behavioral holds. Staffing includes available technicians and unit clerks for support. The unit is equipped with advanced technology and equipment for patient care. Documentation is completed using a specified electronic system. Every other weekend availability is required, with flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs. This position emphasizes patient experience through respectful behavior and open communication during visits. Certifications such as ACLS and BLS are mandatory prior to starting the role. Candidates should have experience in a Level II trauma center and should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The department is known for its strong teamwork and welcoming atmosphere.
