Custodian

Otter Valley Unified Union Is Accepting Applications For a Full Time, Year Round Custodian To Begin Immediately. Starting Rate Of Pay Is $21.35/hr.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Routine manual work involving custodial and housekeeping care of school buildings and grounds; Maintains janitorial and housekeeping supplies and ensures re-ordering through supervisor when needed; Maintains custodial storage areas in a clean and orderly fashion; Notifies and assists supervisor when repairs are needed. ; May perform grounds keeping, snow and ice removal and recycling; Monitors cafeteria & gymnasium cleanliness, with mopping, and sweeping as necessary; Secures building according to plan devised with building administrator; Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting drinking fountains; Responsible for buffing, dust mopping, wet mopping, and vacuuming of floors; Responsible for dusting window sills, shelves, counters and board rails as specified at the local level; Removal of graffiti as needed; Annually assists in stripping & waxing of floors, and steam cleaning carpets; Per work request, sets up and breaks down for meetings, dances, activities and athletic events, etc; Work areas and/or tasks will be assigned by the Head custodian in a manner which best serves the needs of the school; Other duties may be assigned by the Building Principal and/or Head Custodian as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred, with demonstrated custodial experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union
