Workers Compensation Underwriter

Description : A Florida-based wholesale insurance operation serving independent retail agencies across personal and commercial lines. Our client is seeking a sharp, experienced Workers' Compensation Underwriter to join their team. The individual will evaluate and price WC risks submitted by the retail agency partners, manage a book of business, and help grow the WC product line. The ideal candidate will underwrite new and renewal workers' compensation submissions from appointed retail brokers. Analyze loss runs, payroll data, class codes, and risk characteristics to make sound coverage decisions. Build and maintain strong relationships with our retail agency partners. Communicate decisions clearly and promptly - in English and Spanish. Collaborate with leadership on appetite, pricing strategy, and market positioning. Requirements : Active Florida 2-20 General Lines License - non-negotiable. Minimum 3 years of workers' compensation underwriting experience. Bilingual: English and Spanish (written and spoken) - non-negotiable. Solid understanding of Florida WC statutes and the NCCI rating system. Experience working in a wholesale or MGA environment preferred.
