Position Overview

Scottsdale Men’s Shoppe is seeking an energetic, personable, and sales-driven Retail Sales Associate to join our team at our upscale men’s apparel store located in DC Ranch Marketplace in Scottsdale, Arizona. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working with people, has a passion for fashion and men’s apparel, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate is confident, professional, reliable, and motivated to build relationships with customers while contributing to the overall success of the store. Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in helping customers find the right clothing and accessories are essential.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a customer-focused retail environment and is interested in becoming a valued, long-term member of our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding, personalized customer service to every customer who enters the store.
• Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and style, offering knowledgeable recommendations on apparel, accessories, and fit.
• Drive sales by building customer relationships, identifying selling opportunities, and recommending complementary products.
• Develop and maintain strong product knowledge, including brands, styles, fabrics, sizing, and current merchandise offerings.
• Maintain the store’s upscale appearance by ensuring merchandise is organized, properly displayed, and presented according to store standards.
• Assist with merchandising, inventory organization, receiving new merchandise, and maintaining an orderly sales floor.
• Process sales transactions accurately and professionally.
• Help create a welcoming, polished, and enjoyable shopping experience that encourages repeat business and customer loyalty.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain efficient store operations.
• Assist with seasonal promotions, special events, and other store initiatives as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous retail sales or customer service experience is helpful, preferably in apparel, fashion, or specialty retail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse customer base.
• A friendly, outgoing personality and a genuine interest in providing excellent customer service.
• A sales-oriented mindset with the ability to recognize opportunities to increase sales and build lasting customer relationships.
• Professional appearance, dependability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
• Willingness to learn about the store’s brands, products, and customer service standards.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail environment.
• A commitment to reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.

Schedule and Physical Requirements

• Part-time position averaging approximately 20–30 hours per week .
• Availability to work weekends is required, including Sundays 11am-4pm.
• Availability for select holidays and peak retail periods is required, including Black Friday and Christmas Eve until 4:00 p.m.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to assist with routine store tasks, including organizing merchandise, restocking, and maintaining displays.
