Script Developer I

Role Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented developer specializing in script writing to join our team. The Script Developer will develop upgrade and installation patches for clients, manage the patch lifecycle, ensure timely deployment, and support multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities Create and/or modify scripts for patches for clients. Monitor patch releases and security bulletins to identify vulnerabilities and required patches. Function as an integral part of the implementation team, assisting as assigned to address client support issues. Download, test, and package partner upgrade and installation patches for clients. Assist in the management of the patch management lifecycle and ensure that patches are deployed in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate with the development team to test patches and ensure they are compatible with existing systems. Develop and maintain documentation related to patch management processes, procedures, and policies. Maintain historical records by documenting patch development and revisions. Work with clients to ensure patching schedules are established and followed. Provide technical support and guidance to clients on patch management related issues. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience). 1+ year(s) of experience writing complex shell scripts. Strong Linux and AIX experience. Highly skilled in troubleshooting third‑party software problems. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of IT security best practices and standards.
