Role Description This full-time, on-site Insurance Agent role is based in Birmingham, AL. The Insurance Agent will meet with individuals and families to understand their financial and end-of-life planning needs, explain preneed and final expense products, and recommend suitable coverage options. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and generating leads, conducting in-home or office consultations, preparing and submitting applications, and following up with clients to ensure understanding and satisfaction. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, collaborating with internal teams to process policies and claims, and participating in ongoing training to stay current on products, regulations, and best practices. The Insurance Agent will represent Security National Life Insurance Company in the community with professionalism and integrity. Qualifications Proficiency in insurance-related skills, including Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage, with a strong understanding of life insurance and annuity products. Knowledge of Insurance and Finance principles to help clients evaluate coverage options and make informed financial decisions. Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and support clients through sensitive end-of-life planning discussions. Relevant state insurance licensing (or eligibility to obtain), and familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for life insurance. Ability to work independently on-site, manage a sales pipeline, and meet performance goals in a community-focused environment. Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or consultative sales is preferred; experience with preneed or final expense products is a plus.
