CAD Designer

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys residential design, working closely with construction teams, and seeing their drawings come to life in the field. Key Responsibilities Create and revise residential construction drawings and house plans Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details Coordinate plan changes with project managers, estimators, and construction teams Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes and company standards Maintain drawing accuracy throughout the design and construction process Assist with plan modifications based on client selections and field feedback Support the design team with drafting and documentation as required What We're Looking For Experience producing residential construction drawings Understanding of residential construction methods and building practices Ability to interpret sketches, markups, and design concepts into working plans Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Preferred Experience Experience using SoftPlan would be highly desirable However, candidates with strong residential drafting experience using other CAD platforms will be considered, with SoftPlan training provided for the right individual Experience working for a custom home builder, residential designer, or architectural practice is advantageous What's On Offer Salary of $80,000 – $90,000 , depending on experience Long-term career opportunity with a respected custom home builder Training and development, including SoftPlan if required Collaborative and supportive team environment Opportunity to work on unique, high-end residential projects rather than repetitive production housing #J-18808-Ljbffr We Search People
