Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education (Tier 3 or 4) teaching license
  • Experience teaching students with Autism and Cognitive disabilities (preferred)
  • Background in writing IEPs and conducting evaluations
  • Strong classroom management skills, including overseeing paraprofessionals
  • Passion for delivering both academic and social/emotional support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct a multi-grade (3rd & 4th) center-based classroom with 8 students
  • Provide differentiated academic and social-emotional lessons
  • Supervise and lead two paraprofessionals in daily activities
  • Develop, implement, and document Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and conduct student evaluations
  • Cultivate an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
  • Maintain open communication with families and school team members
