Surgical Technologist (Surgical Tech)

Job Description

Pulse Staffing is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our healthcare team. The Surgical Tech will assist surgeons, nurses, and other operating room personnel by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring surgical procedures are performed efficiently and safely. Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and functioning properly.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure.
• Perform surgical counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after surgery.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to promote efficient workflow.
• Clean and restock operating rooms following procedures.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent operating room experience preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
