Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend required. Four 12-hour shifts may be available upon request. Floating within critical care areas based on facility needs and competency required.

Highlights:

• 29-bed, non-aggregated ICU with an average daily census of 26 patients caring for Medical, Surgical, Coronary Care, Neuro, and Trauma populations
• Specializes in high-risk Neuro and Trauma interventions with advanced equipment including IABP, CRRT, EVD, and Arctic Sun therapy
• ICU patient ratio of 1:2; may be 1:3 when patients are awaiting transfer; 1:4 when floating to IMC
• Charting system: Cerner
• Teaching hospital environment with Level II trauma designation; Level I trauma experience preferred
• Local candidates accepted; first-time travelers welcomed

Requirements:

• Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience required
• Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale required; ATCAR or equivalent trauma education required (Maryland-approved alternative trauma course available)
• Prophecy Relias Advanced EKG assessment with passing score required before contract start
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, and cardiac/vasoactive drip titration required
• Proficiency with IABP, CRRT, EVD, and Arctic Sun/cooling blanket management required
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Additional Information:

• Time off: System auto-approves 14 days or less; every other winter and summer holiday required with no time off approved; no time off on high-demand days
• Call-outs may result in immediate contract cancellation
• Block scheduling not available
• Maximum assignment length: 365 days; minimum 6-month separation required before returning
• Non-billable orientation modules: 8 hours for new starts; 115 minutes annually for ICU RN
