Staff Accountant

We are searching for a Staff Accountant in West Palm Beach, FL.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare, review, and interpret financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies when necessary.
• Support external auditors by providing financial records, supporting documentation, and explanations during audit engagements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Mentor and assist junior accounting team members by providing training, guidance, and technical support.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, company policies, and GAAP standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of four years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience using accounting and ERP systems, including proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Professional demeanor with a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical business practices.
