Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Monitor and interpret remote telemetry data, ensuring prompt response to abnormal findings.
  
  
• 
  Perform procedures such as chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis in accordance with hospital policies.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and treatments while maintaining strict documentation standards using Meditech.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families about their conditions and post-procedure care instructions.
  
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with policies related to telemetry monitoring, stroke protocols, and safety guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid nursing license with current registration.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated knowledge of chest tubes, dysthymia, and emergency procedures.
  
  
• 
  BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required.
  
  
• 
  Strong skills in patient assessment, critical thinking, and documentation.
  
  
• 
  Ability to float to medical-surgical or orthopedic units as needed.
